Abstract In recent years, with the wide application of UAV, the scope of photogrammetric 3D modeling based on UAV images has been expanded, and the 3D model contains real geographic scenes, which has been applied to a large number of fields such as smart cities and disaster monitoring. This paper takes the campus of ZAFU as the research area, and carries out 3D modeling of the acquired images with the Phantom 4 RTK by DJI company, and also compares the accuracy of 3D reconstruction by vertical photogrammetry and oblique photogrammetry, which are close to each other in terms of plane accuracy but differ in terms of elevation accuracy. In addition, three UAV flight designs were also compared, among which the absolute positioning accuracy of the ground 3D model obtained by the flight design with known base station coordinates and the network-based RTK flight design was higher. © 2022 IEEE.
