Abstract	The article provides an analysis of the concept of "Smart City"as the main element of improving the efficiency of urban infrastructure. Scientific approaches to the study of the term "Smart City"are considered, and the experience of countries where the concept is already actively working is presented. A comparative analysis of the implementation of the concept of two "Smart Cities"in Asia, Shanghai and Singapore was also carried out. The consequences of using digital technologies in public policy are studied and recommendations are given for Implementing the "Smart City"concept in about million-plus cities. © 2022 ACM.
