Abstract The notion of smart cities have captivated the imaginations of people, when the whole world has undergone one of the worst economic downturns in the history. The development of Smart City is the key ingredient for shaping sustainable urbanization in India. In the year 2015, this mission was launched in India to improve the quality of human lives and also intensify their experience with urban environment. The study of urban infrastructure growth has begun in the year 2016 with the goal to find an intellectual solution for sustainable cities. The objective is to systematically review and examine the problems raised due to India's smart city development, which has been further progressed by using Fuzzy Graph Structures (FGS). The main aim of this review is to undertake a survey by focusing on the different research studies to encourage a dependable urban planning that bring forth nucleus framework and provides smart result for safe and sustainable environment. © 2021 IEEE.
