Abstract As an environmental-friendly, cost-effective transport means, electric vehicles (EVs) have received increasing interest in smart grids and smart cities. This paper performs a techno-economic-environmental analysis of EV charging facility deployment in Singapore. This analysis comprehensively considers the demographics of this area, the prospects of EV adoption in Singapore, as well as the technical, economic, and environmental factors that possibly impact the EV charging station deployment. This study could provide implications on the benefits and challenges of promoting large-scale EV adoption in Singapore, helping policymakers set developmental goals for EVs and guide citizens to adopt EVs. © 2022 IEEE.
