Abstract This paper aligns with the global shift towards renewable energy sources, particularly solar energy. It aims to streamline energy production by implementing a sun tracking system that consistently aligns a photovoltaic panel with the sun's position throughout the day. Firstly, we have successfully developed a solar tracking system that continuously maintains the orientation of a photovoltaic panel towards the sun, leading to improved efficiency. Secondly, by integrating sensors and enabling cloud communication, along with the addition of our own mobile application, we have followed the trend of creating user-friendly intelligent systems. The experimental data we have collected demonstrates a noticeable increase in efficiency of approximately 13 % compared to an identical photovoltaic panel mounted statically in a horizontal position. © 2023 IEEE.
