Abstract	Just as the development of everything must follow certain laws, the development of informatization in cities (towns) also has certain laws, and a round of deep-seated trans-boundary integration innovation has quietly taken place. In the development process of "smart city", urbanization and informatization are gradually intersecting and deeply integrating. From the conventional conversation of smart city to the current construction of new smart city, it is essential to construct a set of scientific evaluation index system to guide the construction. This paper analyzes various evaluation index systems constructed in the traditional smart city construction research, which can better lead the build of the new smart city evaluation index system. © 2021 IEEE.
