Abstract The recent development of smart cities is growing in the developing countries. The exiting automation systems are costly and sophisticated. In this work a smart home automation ecosystem is proposed, and which is work based Internet of Things. This proposed system uses the Arduino Nano controllers along with different sensors such as Photosensitive Sensor, DHT11 sensor (Humidity And temperature). This proposed made is user friendly and cost effective in comparison with the existing system. This proposed system works both automatic/smart and manual. Based on the age group the intensity/brightness of light required varies in this case we can go for manual mode based on user preferences. But in automatic mode based on the user requirement parameters are preset and system works accordingly. © 2025 Author(s).
