Abstract	The different applications of smart city (smart health, smart infrastructure, smart transport) generate a lot of data, the problem that we have here is how to manage these data, Among the technologies that process and analyze these data, we find machine learning, deep learning, The management of this large data through its life cycle in a smart city is fundamental for the realization and growth of cities. In this article we will define the concept of smart city, the different applications that generate a lot of data in the smart city also we will define the different layers for data management (data dissemination, data processing, data acquisition), in the end, we will discuss the notion of security and privacy challenges in data management architecture and we will propose many solutions to solve the problem of security and privacy in the smart city especially data management. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
