Abstract	The development of mobile computing technologies has led to the widespread availability of personal computers, the rise of the “smart home,” and the creation of “smart cities,” all of which rely on ubiquitous internet access and the proliferation of internet-connected devices. This architecture of connected smart devices and internet is known as Internet of Things (IoT) technology. As gadgets are now mobile and powered by portable batteries, accuracy and power consumption are currently increasingly important improvement aspects. IoT-based systems are being researched and developed for a variety of applications, including healthcare, business, smart cities, and education. However, maintaining accessibility, security, and other factors like weather and environment during the development process is difficult. While IoT solutions are helpful, there are drawbacks as well. This chapter puts the spotlight on the concerns about security and privacy of IoT-based network architecture and recommends effective methods and countermeasures to prevent or solve these issues.
