Abstract Big data is gradually changing people's lives, and automobile big data is also impacting the whole automobile industry at present and even in the future. Under the background of the rapid development of smart city, smart transportation and smart travel, the mining, integration and application of automobile big data will open up new ideas for the innovation of vehicle intelligence, vehicle monitoring and management, automobile market strategy, smart travel, transportation modes and tools, digital life and peripheral services. The development of the IoV has also brought many unprecedented challenges. This paper analyzes the types and innovative application directions of automobile big data, and explores innovative paths in data perception, pattern mining, and data platform use from the aspects of data collection, use and mining. Different application paths of big data innovation are proposed to support the creation of innovative solutions. It provides a path for generating innovative application solutions by using automobile big data. © 2022 Association for Computing Machinery. All rights reserved.
