Abstract This research study describes a pioneering program in Chandigarh aiming at reducing carbon emissions and optimizing traffic flow by combining Scalable Urban Traffic Control with Vehicle-to-Infrastructure communication technology. The study explores how these contemporary technologies can be included into the infrastructure of the city's traffic management system, emphasizing how they can greatly lessen traffic and lessen their impact on the environment. The suggested strategy aims to improve traffic signal system efficiency and enable dynamic routing through real-time data analysis and adaptive control mechanisms. The effectiveness of this creative solution is demonstrated through case studies and simulations, providing insightful information for decision-makers and urban planners who are tackling the difficulties of contemporary urban mobility. Following the implementation of Scalable Urban Traffic Control with Vehicle-to-Infrastructure in Chandigarh city, there was a discernible reduction in carbon monoxide levels © 2024 IEEE.
