Abstract The Internet of Things is made possible by wireless communication technologies, which are essential for applications ranging from industrial automation to smart cities. In large-scale Internet of Things deployments, Long Range (LoRA) technology has shown promise as a low-power, long-range communication solution. The optimization and performance analysis of LoRa-based multi-hop networks are presented in-depth in this research, with an emphasis on improving scalability, reliability, and efficiency for various Internet of Things applications. The network design consists of gateways acting as middlemen for packet relaying data and nodes outfitted with LoRa transceivers. By ensuring secure communication between nodes and gateways; Rivest, Shamir, Adleman encryption protects the integrity and privacy of data. Important factors including packet delivery ratio, latency, scalability, and robustness are assessed through thorough simulation and analysis. © 2024 IEEE.
