| Abstract |
Existing Maturity Models have limitations and describe the problem quite roughly. Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) play a leading role in Information Society and Smart City (SC) development. The Societal Patterns Evolution Model (SPEM) and the Simple Learning Motivations Hierarchy Model (SLMHM) were designed to build a detailed model containing societal and technological components (Gakh in A look at evolution of teams, society, smart cities, and information systems based on patterns of primary, adaptable, information, and creative society, pp 701–704, 2022; Gakh in A look to model of society and teams development based on initial formation, primary, adaptable, information, and creative society patterns, 2022). This paper describes the application of SPEM and SLMHM for the case of practical realization of Optimal Path Finding Service (OPFS) and SSTypes library (https://github.com/dgakh/SSTypes ) within the www.GoMap.Az project (https://www.gomap.az ). The model allows one to asses these software products, their maturity, impact on the society and economy as well as their shortcomings. The scientific value of the research is concluded in the presentation of a new unique and well-designed maturity/development model. The practical value of the research is concluded in the description of an example of realized products, of a new tool allowing the evaluation of the success of ICT projects and their impact on SC and societal development. © 2024, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. |
