Abstract In the real world, smart city traffic management is a difficult phenomenon. Introducing the internet of things into traffic management systems in smart cities is a huge challenge. Smart city definitions differ from city to city and country to country, depending on the city's level of growth, willingness to change and reform, finances, and ambitions. Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have been used in a variety of applications for civil and defense infrastructure management. These uses include crowd surveillance, transportation, emergency management, and building design inspection. In smart cities, a variety of transport options exist with respect to public transport and private transport connectivity. The mathematical modelling-based vehicular network enables automobile manufacturers to incorporate smart features into vehicles at a low cost, boosting their market competitiveness. This proposal addresses the challenges concerning the surveillance system for smart city traffic management systems (TMSs). © 2023, IGI Global.
