Abstract Concern over road safety is growing, particularly in countries with high population densities like India, where results from a survey by the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways show concerning trends. They demonstrate that a fatality from a traffic collision occurs about every four minutes. To put it another way, this indicates that per hour on average, 17 people die as a result of 55 recorded accidents. This emphasizes how critical it is to deploy Emergency Medical Services (EMS) quickly to reduce the number of fatalities. This paper's main goal is to present a fully automated system that reduces the amount of time that passes between a collision and the arrival of healthcare help. Systems for emergency medical services and accident detection are integrated to accomplish this. The suggested system makes use of the capabilities of a piezoelectric sensor and an accelerometer, which work together to activate an Arduino microcontroller. The user's exact location is then retrieved by this microcontroller using GPS technology. A GSM/GPRS module is used to establish communication between the Internet of Things device and the central database. An Android app has been created to increase this system's efficacy even more. This application has two purposes: during the initial registration process, it gathers vital user health information, emergency contact information, and hospital information. When these elements operate together, a strong and effective foundation for quickly and effectively handling traffic incidents is produced. © 2023 IEEE.
