Abstract In the era of smart cities, addressing parking challenges is crucial for urban development. Our project focuses on leveraging the Internet of Things (IoT) to create an intelligent parking solution that enhances efficiency and minimizes costs. By integrating Deep Neural Networks, particularly Mask R-CNN, we aim to optimize the utilization of parking spaces in metropolitan areas. The growing disparity between personal and public vehicles poses a significant issue, leading to fuel inefficiency and environmental concerns. Our innovative approach aims to mitigate these challenges by providing a user-friendly system for both drivers and property owners, contributing to the advancement of smart city initiatives. © 2024 IEEE.
