Abstract Efficient waste management systems are considered essential for environmental safety in smart cities. This research uses a Deep Belief Network for Waste Management System to manage waste. Inadequate waste management is the primary case that leads to resource inequality in smart cities. From various sensors with the data collected over the smart city, this research aims to manage the collection of garbage production. In order to manage the garbage collection routes, the DBN uses predictive analysis on waste collection efficiency leading to reduced operating costs. The results show that the proposed method achieves higher prediction accuracy to smart city infrastructure, especially in reuse management. © 2024 IEEE.
