| Abstract |
The technological advancement in wireless communication has evolved the futuristic concept of smart cities, wherein the objects will be intelligent in the sense that they can communicate among each other and take decision. The smart cities will ensure increased road safety, traffic mobility, sustain environment by means of smart vehicle. The smart vehicles should be equipped with simultaneous intelligent sensing and communication technologies to enable for increased road safety, traffic mobility. This requires the joint operation of radar and communication without interference. The aim of the paper is to develop an integrated radar radio platform without interference between the radar and the radio. The concept substantiated here is to separate the radar and radio carrier in phase angle. The generated waveform shows the phase angle of frequency modulated continuous wave radar waveform changes from 0 to π at around 8 GHz when the communication waveform changes from π to 0.
