| Abstract |
The development of modern industrial systems and their protection against emergencies are currently associated with the integration of digital radio-electronic control modules for the statuses of processes and devices that implement production process automation and their independent operation. Using wireless networks for communications between the device and cloud platforms to perform rapid data processing helps improve the reliability of industrial complexes and system security by scanning the devices and assessing their parameters in real-time. Thus, the use of the Internet of Things units for the cloud control of devices in human life safety systems can minimize the impact of human errors during emergencies and send prompt emergency alarms to safety system modules. This paper reviews the possibilities of using wireless and cloud technology to solve control and monitoring problems for fire safety equipment in smart city systems and the industrial Internet of Things. The authors analyzed the key application areas of algorithms and loT systems to achieve life safety goals. The authors developed an loT device to control the status of fire detectors. The smart module scanning the statuses of fire safety probes is based on the K1986VE91 T controlled operating on a cortex-m3 kernel. Cloud data processing and monitoring were implemented with an MQTT server. The experimental data obtained from a laboratory setup confirmed the efficiency of the suggested algorithms and the possibility of integration with the existing fire safety systems. © 2024 IEEE. |
