| Abstract |
Internet of Things (IOT) is one of the most up-To-date technologies in the information age, having made a significant progress in the field of educational learning. Smart education has emerged from the use of new technologies such as IOT, which has been improving the speed of educational learning and the quality of education. Despite the interest of academics and school principals in using IOT in the field of education, there is no comprehensive framework including the applications of IOT in this field. Therefore, the main purpose of this study is to identify and prioritize the applications of IOT in education. To achieve this goal, a mixed approach has been applied. In the first stage, the qualitative approach of focus group has been used to identify and categorize the related applications. In the second stage, the interval Best-Worst Method (BWM) has been applied to weigh and rank the identified applications. As a result, 38 applications were identified, grouping in four main categories, namely students, professors/institutes, and society. The proposed framework helps decision makers to better understand the applications of IOT in the field of education for investment objectives. © 2020 IEEE. |
