Abstract Building a better life for citizens became a motto for many cities around the world. In this context, smart city concept was defined. The aim of this concept is to make use of intelligent technologies to improve the citizens quality of life. Smart mobility is considered one out of six characteristics which compose the smart city model. The purpose of this paper is to show the significant metrics and indicators which describe the smart mobility concept. These metrics and indicators have an important role in gained performance analysis for a smart city, facilitating the comparison to other smart cities. In current paper, an analysis will be made based on these metrics and indicators to see which is their impact in smart city score setting and implicitly, in establishing the influence on the inhabitants' quality of life. © 2019 Institute of Physics Publishing.
