Abstract All things in this world are developing and changing, and the digital management of urban landscaping must also continue to innovate new development concepts, keep pace with the times, establish a pioneering and innovative scientific concept, seize the needs of the times, give full play to the maximum value of information resources of smart cities, and play the real social value of the work of gardening information resources, in order to promote the prosperity of urban landscaping and smart cities The information age In the information age, urban gardening management should take advantage of the opportunities brought by smart cities, rely on the social background of smart city construction, continue to innovate, pay attention to the needs of the people, and carry out various construction work of urban gardening digitalisation. The main purpose of this paper is to study the design of a garden project management system based on the Internet of Things and GIS technology. The main research content of this paper is based on the basic concept of digital management of urban landscaping, firstly, by analysing the current situation of digital platform management of urban landscaping in a city, and putting forward its development strategy and countermeasure suggestions for the problems existing in its digital platform management, in the hope of providing useful reference for digital management of urban landscaping in other smart city constructions. © 2022 IEEE.
