Artificial intelligence (AI) and communication networks are transforming human interactions in the rapidly growing world of technology. This chapter explores the fundamentals and various uses of AI and communication networks' symbiotic communication. From AI and communication networks to 5G and beyond, the story demonstrates the way one entity enhances the other, transforming how humankind relates in an interconnected world. The chapter examines AI's role in personalised content delivery, dynamic online interactions, and social media information distribution, from rule-based systems to deep learning. Powered by AI, virtual assistants and chatbots incorporated into communication networks streamline human interactions. Data analytics and AI-driven decision-making power smart cities beyond virtual reality, improving sustainability and quality of life. Telehealth and AI-powered virtual consultations make specialised healthcare available globally. Moral problems such as data privacy, algorithmic biases, and responsible AI deployment are carefully addressed.
