| Abstract |
In Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), it is necessary to establish a relay node between the edge sensor node and the gateway for solving the problem of uneven energy consumption. However, the transmission of data from the sensor node to the relay node introduces a security problem. The attacker launches an energy attack on the relay node to consume the relay node's energy. The scheme of Zhang et al. can resist multiple attacks, however, it cannot resist energy attacks. Therefore, this paper proposes a lightweight node authentication method based on message authentication codes (MAC), which can effectively resist the attacker's energy attacks on relay nodes. At the same time, time stamps are introduced, which can effectively prevent attackers from launching replay attacks against MAC. Finally we show that the scheme is lightweight on computation and storage. © 2020 IEEE. |
