Abstract This paper presents a distributed scheduling strategy for the electric and heat supply system of an intelligent community, aiming to balance the privacy of participants and the backup power requirements of the external grid. First, a distributed supply architecture that encourages collaboration between property owners and residents while safeguarding privacy is presented. Subsequently, the cooperative operation model of the system is established by developing the regulation capabilities of various loads and devices within the community and backup power constraints. Additionally, the model is solved by using the alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMM) algorithm. Finally, simulation results demonstrate that this strategy ensures privacy and cost reduction, and provides backup power to the external grid, offering a fresh perspective on the operation of community microgrids. © 2024 SPIE.
