Abstract The smart city parameters, dimensions and attributes have been an evaluation proposed and recognised. The analysis, however, needs to be more modelled resource management related and services to society. The city’s services are handled as facilitators, supporters, and converters to make an intelligent society. This article is evaluating a framework for resources and services of the city, based on the current smart city system, with their unique characteristics. According to a literature review between the year 2014 and the year 2020, the article evaluated the Structures, dimensions, and characteristics of smart cities. Furthermore, smart city resources which could have been treated include those suprastructure, infrastructure, and infostructure; and intelligent government services, which can be given priority coating the financial sector, movability, ecosystem, citizens, life and governance. This article sums up the smart city framework’s current state in terms, of elements and descriptions which were created to be used as a standard (SLR) systematic literature review technique that used fixes every problem by analysing the findings from the preceding study as a Literature research query (LQ) the SLR problem was renamed, to realise this target, we know certain LQs regarding that domain and explain each question by tracing previous research. Extracted articles from Scopus, IEEE Xplore, Web of Science, SpringerLink and ScienceDirect are some of the resources available. The results of a 44-article synthesis show that infrastructure of smart city and smart city facility frameworks need to be improved. In the realisation of smart cities, the government must prioritise public infrastructure defined in the smart city parameters. The characteristics of city infrastructure and facilities managers have been evaluated through our research, as the conclusion explained the smart city attribute and assets as a conceptual diagram, making it the governments easier to grasp the smart urban concept. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.
