Abstract	This chapter provides a comprehensive exploration of the crucial topic of cyber security within the realm of cyber-physical systems (CPS). In the age of smart living, ensuring the validity of our data has become a formidable task. It's more convenient to live in smart cities and residences. Even with the use of difficult passwords, there is always a security risk due to the intricate network of the IoT and the Internet of Everything (IoE). First step in bolstering security against ever-changing threats. Next, the chapter delves into the specific challenges and unique characteristics of securing cyber-physical systems. To address these challenges, the chapter presents an overview of current cyber security techniques and practices employed in CPS. Furthermore, the chapter explores emerging trends and future directions in the field of cyber security for CPS. The chapter also highlights the importance of collaboration among stakeholders, including researchers, industry professionals, and policymakers, to address the evolving cyber security landscape of CPS. © 2025, IGI Global Scientific Publishing.
