Abstract The Internet of Vehicles (IoV) will be essential in building a smart city in the forthcoming Internet of Things (IoT) age. In reality, the IoV can successfully address several traffic issues. It is essential for maximizing the use of roads, cutting down on energy use and pollution, and promoting traffic safety. However, creating safe and immediate payments and communications is the main challenge with the IoV, especially with Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I). To examine the application of Blockchain as middle-ware amongst diverse stakeholders of intelligent transportation systems, this paper provides an approach for establishing secure payment and communication in response to this problem. Neural synchronization is used to enhance communication security. The architecture under consideration makes used to create a system for allowing Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) interactions and transactions. Additionally, the efficiency and resistance of the suggested systems against typical security assaults are qualitatively tested in this paper. The key issues of V2X connections, such as safety and centralization, were addressed by the suggested method, according to computational testing. In this study, we also assessed the proposed solution's most crucial characteristics, including memory and power use, modifiability, secrecy, consistency, authenticity, processing time, and affordability. The purpose of this test is to determine if the technology can provide efficient and reliable IoV communication and parking payment. The results show that the suggested methods are quicker and much more than the state-of-the-art communication technologies. © 2022 Elsevier Inc.
