| Abstract |
Significant urban development is ensured by the smart cities idea. In smaller regions, such as university campuses, an innovative approach towards using modern technologies for the purpose of strengthening infrastructures, exploitation of natural energy resources, and improving the quality of life can be employed. This paper focuses on the concept of a smart university campus and how drone technology can be used for its planning. The complete process of aerial photography is displayed, along with the preparations and post-processing steps required. It is described how to create a three-dimensional model of the observed campus and how to conduct potential analyses using the model that was created. © 2023 IEEE. |
