Abstract	This chapter explores the integration of blockchain and Internet of Things (IoT) computing services in medical healthcare solutions within the framework of smart cities. It delineates the foundational understanding of blockchain in healthcare, emphasizing its potential applications and advantages. Through examination of case studies and practical illustrations, the chapter elucidates the tangible implementation of blockchain- based IoT solutions in medical contexts, showcasing their efficacy in data management, patient monitoring, and healthcare service optimization. Moreover, it addresses the challenges and limitations inherent in such deployments while delineating future trajectories and opportunities for advancements. By elucidating the synergy between blockchain, IoT, and healthcare, this chapter contributes to the discourse on leveraging technology to augment accessibility and efficiency in smart cities' healthcare ecosystems. © 2024 by IGI Global.
